Thanks for your pretty interesting post. You are more than right. The banks you are trading with are claiming that they are pure STPs and sending all the orders to some interbank platform or are you trading through some of the interbank platforms ...

Cobra is pretty right. I would say that 80% - 90% of brokers are just bucket shops and they are both properly regulated or unregulated. With those brokers you can have a great edge in the market and a successful trading strategy, but you will be ...

If you have some experience with futures trading at local exchanges, it would be interesting to make some comparison of futures vs. CFDs - especially in a matter of liquidity / orders execution / slippage etc.

I was trading with Oanda for a while and I experienced the spread widening / slow orders execution with slippage - even during non-news time. I've also seen a lot about Oanda - how they are widening the spreads to execute TPs later and execute SLs ...

Well you are pretty right that they write everything in their terms & conditions. Still those brokers usually scam traders by slippages / execution delays etc. to make traders lose even faster. By their terms&conditions I bet that they have some ...

Yep, I agree with this - maybe it's just a mistake and they will refund / re-quote all orders. But one thing worth mention is that they are somehow working / processing with the data feed from liquidity providers as the issue happened on their side. ...

Yep, I agree that a lot of traders start real trading with the lack of knowledge / experience. A lot of traders also blame the broker after their own faults, plus there can be some competition fights between brokers. But the fact is that 90% of ...

At least they have good account managers, but still this is pretty weird and should definitely not happen to someone like pepperstone - it surprised me, because until this time, I saw those spikes with the cheating brokers only. So did they provide ...

My feelings about pepperstone are quite mixed, I've already heard some traders complaining about their slippage / orders execution, some traders confirmed it here, others don't. Plus merrygold posted the weird spike on Coffee here.

As pipmaster replied - if you are from the US, you don't have many other options. But if you are not, you should definitely look somewhere else - you can go through this thread / other threads and you will see which brokerage will be good for you. ...

It seems like they are having a healthy approach to the issue. But the question is how / why this happened if they would be connected to the real market. They are probably somehow aggregating / working with the prices they get.

You are correct - the CySEC checking can reveal only a half of scamming brokers. If a broker like hotforex has one liquidity provider which is owned by hotforex itself, then the liquidity provider can do all the cheating tricks - delays, slippages, ...

Yep, I understand. Unfortunately, they probably state this in their terms & conditions so there's not much traders can do with this. I don't understand why they don't allow you to loose the whole capital with the bonus, as they are b-booking all the ...

I think that I've read on their website that they should execute the orders at same price and in same time, but it's important to know if they executed the trades during news or they avoided news, this makes a big difference..

Yep, you are correct with this. The leverage itself is not unfair. But the fact is that there is no-one in the real interbank market who would "lend" capital to others with 1:1000 leverage. 1:200 leverage is good, but I consider anything above to ...
