Hi Balle, That looks like a good entrance in hindsight. I would be looking for TP around 11423 area.

Hi Holmes, In answer to your question I would wait for another valid signal before I would enter again. Also in regard to stops it is always good to look at other s/r as potential stop points as long as they are int he vacinity of the low of the ...

Hi shomes, I have been working on strategies based on the dmi/adx for over 4 years now and I beleive that using it with the MACD gives the best results.

Hi Sholmes, Looks like a a good trade well taken. The good thing about the adx in this instance is that it has made a nice round bottom. Also MACD is moving well away from it's signal line. These trades can be high reward to low risk due to the ...

Hi Balle, 3 off the bottom means that you can take a trade when ADX is not over 20 as long as it has increased by 3. I.E. ADX 12.4 to 14.6 to 15.6 would be a valid signal on ADX.

Hi Harry, I do not have an alert system as such but I have added soemthing that might help. It shows a green bar when ADX is rising - you will have to manually calculate 3 off the bottom however. You can use it to eyeball potentials before the hour ...

Hi Holmes, I would sya yes you can still take the trade in this instance. When this happens be careful however and look for any s/r that could hinder the trade. Note - ADX moving from 30 upwards has less room to move than say ADX rising from 20. ...

Hi guys, My interpretation of eur/usd. In 13076 and SL 13045. Also in answer to Holmes post - be careful you do not get mixed up between ADX and DMI. It is the ADX that needs to rise 3 off bottom and not necessarily the DMI. Delta - you may have got ...

There was a signal on e/u at 0600 GMT - I entered on the close of this candle (i.e. start of 0700 GMT) Sometimes I start the day a little later - I just then wait for the signals from there. I would be cautious of joining a trade that had already ...

Good move on exiting gbp/jpy - it had moved a good distance. all ways a smart idea to get to break even for the day. Try the exit method we discussed yesterday on the demo account.

Hi delta, Hope I was clear in my description. Just going forward. 1. A trade can be taken late (with caution) if the signal candle had all indicators confirming at the same time. 2. A trade is not to be taken when the correctly positioned DMI/ADX is ...

Yes there have been a few false signals. MACD has worked well however in stopping the false signals from DMI.

Hi Delta, The bar previous to the one indicated by the brown line showed the adx increasing. It might have been the one before but I can not see that from the chart. If the MACD does not confirm at the same time as the ADX turns (over 20 or 3 off ...
