Porkpie replied Oct 15, 2009GU — This is my take on GU. My 50% is around the 1.6385 area (Not sure how you got 1.6250?). The 50% area falls within an area where previous supply exceeded demand (there were more sellers at this point than buyers). Price is likely to ...

Porkpie replied Oct 12, 2009Time is money — I consider my time as a cost as any business would. If I have to sit in front of a screen all day to get a measly 200 pips on a 5 min chart then that trade has cost me much more than if I had put on a set and forget trade on a ...

Porkpie replied Oct 11, 2009Traders Trick Entry — I think the traders trink entry is superior with regards to trade management for the very reasons why you would enter before the Ross Hook. Take a look at the attachement. The Ross Hook in this instance is used as a first ...

Porkpie replied Oct 10, 2009Hi Don, your chart show's the RH correctly (but if you are trading off the weekly you would need 1K pip stop loss!). Feb just uses the break of a no. 2 point not a RH. Feb's rules are that you have to have a 30-40 swing to define a new trend.

Porkpie replied Oct 8, 2009Thanks for that. It is not excatly what I am after. The channel has just two bands and I want to use it as a volatility stop. I could just put in a bog standard atr and add or subtract the atr value to price based on a 70% atr for stop placement. ...
