IMHO statistics is all that works. I could not trade without statistics. Be it backtest statistics, or live performance statistics, couldn't do without them.

The way I see it those stats concern long term profitability (let's say 1 year, +). I've seen lists showing profitable account % per broker posted here on FF before. Those lists show something like 25-30% average are profitable per trimester. ...
