so instead of putting the typical spreads, you put the minimum spread. That is very misleading.

you need some kinda risk management... that would leave you side open if price went against you and never returned.. If you are gonna scalp.. you will need a broker will the smallest spreads possible.

Yep... all indicators are lagged.. So it is often not a good idea to use them on there own as this would often mean you were chasing setups, which usually results in losses.

thanks for your reply.. 5 pips is a bit high i guess for cable.. but if there is no slippage its just about acceptable.. for some types of trading... definately not scalping though! On their website they are currently quoting 2.5 pips for cable and ...

What are the spreads for cable and gbp/jpy with forex.com? I looked on the site and it showed 2.5 pips.. but it says "minimum spread" I used them years ago and they had a huge 5 pip spread for cable. The online platform was truly awful too.

I know a lot of financial spreadbetting firms do, like igindex.com Saxo do too, they offer futures, options, stocks, cfds but I wouldn't sign up with them, the sales man hassle u bigtime

Be careful with that thought.. it doesn't always happen.. I think GBP/JPY may start trending downwards for a sustained period at some point in the future, perhaps not for a while yet.. We will see..

Not really.. they do often correlate.. I have noticed that sometimes there is a delay with GBP/JPY.. sometimes the dow is a leading indicator, but not always.

Your feelings might be right. My feelings about the market scare me to death quite honestly. I often have no idea what on earth price will do as there are so many variable. I just trade good setups and try to be prepared for every eventuality :-)

I usually prefer to use my native currency, which is GBP, as using another currency gives an extra risk factor. If I had to chose one of those I would feel a lot more comfortable with CAD.

That is very brave of you, against the long term trend and weak US fundamentals. It might hit if carry trade collapses as that usually adds a lot of dollar strength
