skyway replied Aug 4, 2016I think we have enough of trolling for now but must say it was the best fun ever on ff that lasted 3 weeks.

skyway replied Aug 4, 2016I see no difference in both guys about their wordsworth, just the same. Both guys are already on the other guys ignore list.

skyway replied Aug 4, 2016Now that this duel competition is over(enjoyed every minute of the trolling) do we get to see some nice swing trades?

skyway replied Aug 3, 2016It is a form of progressive stake sizing though not in the exact martingale format.

skyway replied Aug 3, 2016That's why I recommended that he limits the cost of his 4steps to no more than 5%, then only will we be able to see his system perform within prudent risk management. Remember also that he achieved a 100+% gain last week.

skyway replied Aug 3, 2016That's true backtesting martingale ea is only to check the ea is functioning properly. Backtest results for martingale eas is a useless waste of time.

skyway replied Aug 3, 2016That's true, unlimited steps martingale will not work no matter how large the account even if you start with 0.01 lot size.

skyway replied Aug 3, 2016I don't wish to debate on the effectiveness of progressive stake size as a money management system. But I do agree that scammers use martingale to hide their losses.
Geppy vs. GJscalper - a duel to the death!
-
skyway replied Aug 3, 2016Yup that's correct. Martingale is a money management strategy applied on systems with positive expectancy. When applied to systems with negative expectancy it enhances the loss and quickens the demise of the account.

skyway replied Aug 3, 2016Martingale works with limited number of steps and the total cost of each martingale cycle is a small fraction of the account. Unlimited steps which requires infinite account size is fools fantasy.

skyway replied Aug 3, 2016Yup the same original te. Just want to say that I and some other guys saw that his account was somehow not updating. I recommended that he delete his te and reattach the te to try solve his non-updating problem. He did that and it looks like he ...

skyway replied Aug 3, 2016[quote=GJscalper;9065150] So 5% of 37,000 usd is 1850... What I would then do is spread the 1850 across 4 trades. Sooooooooooo I would do it like this. Say the STOP LOSS IS 20 PIPS Order 1 = .5 = 100 usd loss Order 2 = 1.5 = 130 usd loss Order 3 = ...

skyway replied Aug 3, 2016Or alternatively Order 1 = 0.3 Order 2 =1.0 Order 3 = 2.0 Order 4 = 3.5 , see what you're comfortable with. And if you're doing this focus on trading and less response to comments on this thread.

skyway replied Aug 3, 20165% max dd, I think you will do great with this money management. I hope to see your ea trade like that to realise it's true potential.
Geppy vs. GJscalper - a duel to the death!

skyway replied Aug 3, 2016I did ask earlier if anyone out there able to trade any one trade idea with a risk no more than 5%, seems like there's none. I was thinking if the account size is fairly large it should be no more than 1%, the equity growth from such risk management ...

skyway replied Aug 2, 2016Note that tomorrow BOE will deliver their widely anticipated "Super Thursday" stimulus package which should include a rate cut. Note also that if the 25 basis point cut do occur it'll send the UK rate below the US rate (0.25% vs 0.5%) for the first ...
