As we can see, the cat is out of the bag. Who like gremlins? Anyone brave enough to start the spiral within spiral discussion?

I'm glad the £ is gaining on the € as I have some large € bills to pay

I suppose it depends on what fti meant. Did he not want any discussion at all or only with him? I wouldn't mind going over it with others if he doesn't object. My interpretation was that he doesn't want any discussion so unless he clarifies I'll ...

fti, based on what you said above, do you mind us discussing "spirals within spirals" umongst ourselves?

Great video. Now how do I put that on my facebook page?

Same observation here. I suppose if it's within a range and bar (i.e. it doesn't break a high or low within the bar - say 1 min) then it can go undetected.

I saw a 500 pip spike from my broker only recently on the DOW but nothing else showed it. Even after refreshing my chart and a few days later it was still there so I can only assume it was valid?

Yes, I agree, a broker must keep prices consistent and that's why I have my doubts about tracking mouse movements, but I have seen unusual market action based on mouse position. I might have to do some network analysis one day if I get the time.

I have an account with another broker and when reading through their terms and conditions a few years back, I do remember it stated they can quote whatever price they like. In that case, I can't see how they are breaking the law.

I think some of the tricks are quite obvious but others not so. I have an account with Alpari UK and they have an option of auto-execution instead of going through their dealing desk. I wonder if that is the way to go?

I tend to agree except I have noticed some unusual price movement when my mouse is over the buy or sell button. Not sure whether it was just coincidence or intentional.

fti and all. It is possible to send mouse position info to a bro-ker such as when the mouse is over a certain button. So if you place your mouse over the buy or sell button, they can in theory know about it. However, they cannot easily cover up this ...

fti, I have come across a broker that gives the option of auto-execution. Have you researched that?

mijamoto, how do you expect to succeed when you are so far from the teachings in this thread? There are some very important lessons you seem to have missed?

Touchy indeed!
I think it's going through regardless but give it some time as I'm sure most US citizens will warm up to the idea. The UK, Australia, Canada all have the system in place and we don't hear any complaints from them.Technical Analysis Fallacy
