hanover replied Sep 29, 2008To what extent does Gambler's Ruin apply to trading? — Terrapin, I wonder to what extent this applies. Blackjack pros have been able to win many thousands from casinos, with the small edge that card counting provides, yet their bankroll is ...

hanover replied Sep 29, 2008Pisara, I read your PM. I will reply here so that everybody is kept up to date. IMHO your math (summing the number of orders across cols G thru O, and then multiplying by the number of increments in col E) is 100% correct. However, I can't check ...

hanover replied Sep 28, 2008Sorry guys, but like I said back in post #466, I'm too busy to get involved in this project. IMHO, the FF calendar includes all of the major news announcements that are likely to trigger price movement. I don't see the need to look elsewhere. Thanks ...

hanover replied Sep 28, 2008FF, I’m afraid that what I must say will sound negative. I don’t mean it to be, I sincerely hope that you can somehow use my (and others’) earlier comments constructively, to improve your EA. I’m simply trying to be realistic. And I'm not ...

hanover replied Sep 27, 2008Some more thoughts, for whatever thy're worth..... — Must admit that my first thought was to decrease the INCREMENT value, on the basis that price is more likely to reach a smaller SL/TP more quickly than a larger one. However, this means that ...

hanover replied Sep 27, 2008Keyser, interesting idea. It would be possible to develop an indicator that plots the CSV file in your link. Then you could see DailyFX's calendar on your charts, instead of Forex Factory's. But I don't have the time to do it. Perhaps somebody else ...
