Just like 0.9 was rejected on the way down. Doesn't mean it will continue to hold.

Compare actual (inflation adjusted) GDP AU vs US and US is 0%, really negative. USA has a far bigger problem with unemplyoment/undermployment. Sure I agree, the Aussie has more to lose in terms of interest rates...because how the hell do you beat ...

Thanks for this post. We can compare GDP of US to AU for example. US GDP is slowing down to a trickle since 2011. 2012 slower. now 2013 even slower. Part time jobs at an all time high to boot... Yet AU is steady and the mining problem is only ...

The thing I don't understand is Euro... NEGATIVE GDP in Spain. Unemployment is over 12%. No hope of turning it around either. Germany is the one lone country holding EU afloat, portugal, greece, italy...all down the tubes. Sure China is holding back ...

The only stick in the spokes is the perceived (false) strength in the USD and all this taper talk. If USD really does scale back QE then US equities are in real trouble.

How much is the language really gonna matter if they cut the rate? "Well we cut the rate, but we don't think the economy is bad" "We cut the rate, everything is actually good though" ?

NFP's are 24k lower AND the participation rate was lower. Private payroll 30k lower. Also if you look at the breakdown, the only jobs added are in retail sector. Part-time employment is at an all time high.

I am blown away by the downward pressure on this pair. USD news was as bad as Bulls could hope for, yet we hit a new low. I am wondering now if RBA rate cut would have much of an effect, or could we soon find a bottom (has to be out there ...

I'm with ya partner. The only technical analysis I need though is a rally of 60+ pips and looking at S/R. Keep it simple with this pair and you will see some of the easy trades of your career

Hasn't failed me on this pair in weeks. When the fundamental landscape changes, I'll change my strategy. Until then, even terrible USD news cannot save AU...

How accurate is the ASX Target Rate Tracker? url Right now it shows 91% probability of a rate cut to 2.50%.

Any rally of 60+ pips would likely be a good place to open a short. Then just use support and resistance.

Pretty muted reaction to the extraordinary USD ISM Manufacturing this morning. Has me wondering if Bears are running out of poop... That or everyone just waiting for RBA next week. Could see a small rally starting next week to ~0.91 (past 3-4 weeks ...

Completely agree with this viewpoint. The Fed isn't really going to taper. They can't. Unemployment hasn't budged, manufacturing is dropping off, retail sales tanking, etc. US is still in a recession. IF for some reason they do taper, it won't last ...

I know you're asking Robby but I'll chime in with my .02 - EA ran further than AU this week, I think "if"/when it pulls back it will be greater magnitude. ECB meeting not far away so keep your eyes on that. I like the play from a R:R standpoint but ...
