It's very much not a myth, there are quite a few people out there doing that. But it does require quite a bit of effort to get there.
Is trading FX for living a myth?

The good news is that most brokers are returning to their old trading conditions one by one. The even better news is that so far there are no reported bankruptcies and the like, it looks like they all came out relatively unscathed that I know of.

I refrained from trading that day, as my attempts to trade during news events rarely lead to profits.

I am starting to doubt that, it has been testing 1.3100 for a while now and it still hasn't been able to break above that level. We might see a move to the downside first, before it makes another attempt to break above the resistance.

You're right, the pair is still very bullish although it's still testing 1.3100.

So much for the move to the downside for now. Currently the pair is testing 1.3100, and I think if it breaks above it it will reach 1.3170 next.

There is talk of Scotland and Northern Ireland looking for independence from the UK. For now that might be just a knee-jerk reaction, but Brexit showed that anything is possible.

Frankly, today I don't think I dare to even scalp the EUR and GBP pairs. I hope your positions will turn out well though.

USD/CAD reached 1.2677 and bounced off of the support there but I think that's just temporary. So far there's no signal that the move to the downside is over.

In my opinion setting up daily targets isn't always feasible. You might be able to achieve them, or you might not, it depends on the market. Trying to achieve them despite the market can only make you overtrade and it can lead to losses.

Wherever it closes I won't be trading this pair before the Brexit results come out officially. I don't think it's worth taking that risk.

I agree, I have stopped trading pairs with those two currencies until after the referendum. It's just too risky to try it at the moment.

Either way, I already have a short position open. Not to mention that there's a big doji candlestick on the daily time frame, which is a further indication that this pair will continue falling.

USD/CAD is still climbing. I opened longs after it broke above 1.2900 and my target is 1.3000 which is (EMA)89 on the daily time frame.

I already opened a short position because I saw the spinning top candlestick that has formed on the daily time frame below the resistance at 1288.

Frankly, the closer we get to the 23rd, the more nervous I get. I just want to get it over with already so we can deal with the fallout of the results, whatever they may be and then continue trading.
