Not sure the US Dollar is a safe haven at all.. or indeed any fiat currency for that matter... If you bought dollars with your pounds 5 years ago, you would not feel it was a safe haven now. It may go back to those rates again, but doesn't look ...

yep.. or u could be like me and not use indicators. I am not a fan of them at all, as they are lagged and often tell you what has just happend! Some people use them, and do very well. It's all about finding what is right for you.

Yes... When support/resistance is broken, there is almost always a retracement.. if there isn't one its usually best just to stay out all together, otherwise u can end up chasing the market.

Theres such a nice upward trend on the daily chart for gbp/jpy for the last 10 days or so.. I have trend line support at 237.60 ish on my chart.

I think it would work quite well until a big carry unwind, this is what has happend in the past.. essentially you would be trading TRY/CHF

Yes, I agree shorting at this point is risky.. it is against the trend. However, the trend does seem to be weakening.. So I'm staying out for now, because I have no signals and I honestly don't know what it will do :-)
