There's a few. I just checked my FXDD and MetaQuotes demo feeds and it looks like it's there. Rather than reinstalling MetaTrader, take a look at this thread and grab the appropriate server files. It should be easy to setup an account in your ...

I'm adding server files for FXDD. fjlpop already added the server file for the demo. I'm including the live server also, just in case anyone needs that.

Ok, well, I'll throw in my opinion as well. First, I agree with habeeb. STOP trading now. You are too psychologically damaged. You need to repair that first. Second, you're trading approach is too open for subjective thinking. Take a deep breath and ...

Here's a trade template database to get you started. I based it on the BGX system, but, you can modify it however you like. It should be pretty easy to do. I added a sample trade in there as well as a readme to get you started. Good luck. stockwet

Backtesting BGX

I think it'd be really tricky. My experiences with the date/time functions in MQ4 have been sketchy. I think you'd need a really good MQ4 programmer. I'm also not a believer in automated backtesting. I just don't think it does anything for you ...

Swordfish, Welcome to Forex. You're in for quite an adventure. Let me suggest to you that you're probably asking this forum the wrong question. I suspect that what you're really after is how you become a successful trader. Some traders are very ...

The other options on the indicator were custom things I added to davidwt's original indicator. Here's my indicator attached. I think you're going to find that backtesting the BGX system is highly unreliable. The major impetus you'll find regards the ...

FXDD is still a broker. I'd feel more comfortable doing my trades with an ECN. But, I'm also a MetaTrader snob, so PowerTrader would not be for me. </big>

I might be a little more technical than others, but, I have an access database. Not only do I record the trades I took, with screenshots, etc. But, I also record trades I should have taken using my system rules. It's extremely helpful. For instance, ...

If your account is large, then, you may want to look at CoesFX. They're an ECN and have a great reputation. Also, I've heard good things about FXDD and may open an account with them. I'll likely move to CoesFX, though, when they get MetaTrader going. ...

You're welcome. 1. I don't know the answer to this. I don't trade the BGX system live. Backtesting is nearly impossible, too, because of the 5 minute rule. It would skew results of even manual backtesting. 2. I typically keep my max loss around ...

RobP, CoesFX will be MetaTrader-compatible soon, if not already. I'm working with one of the sales guys there and am gathering the details. If you give them a call, talk to Joe Pulaski. He's one of the better ones informed about their plans as I've ...
