EUR/USD — EURUSD looks poised to make a further move up as there is some divergence that's showing on the daily timeframes. More bad economic news from the U.S. will just further fuel it. Everyone keep an eye out for long positions..

I grabbed an easy +45 pips off of that trade. It'll probably go up a bit more but I'm tired..it's 2:17AM Dallas time over here and I'm ready to turn in.

Trade Update — 3 minutes until the next candle close and it looks like things are setting up for a rubberband trade back into the other stochs. I'm not sure if I'll target more than 10 quick pips since it's right up against a resistance line.

Trade — Alright guys..I've been making a lot of pips lately using the MTF strategy. Here is a potential setup right before the London open. I'm looking for a possible rubberband trade with the 15m trading back into the rest of the stochs.

Have you guys been doing any trading lately? I've had a good run today but a not so good run on yesterday.

I'm with you on that. I have found the MTF approach to be the most reliable and profitable for me. As far the drawdowns, I hate them as well. On the 15m charts, I don't go more than -15 or -20 before I call it quits on a trade.

I'll have to read up a little more about the carry trades since that's something I know very little about. Also, I wanted to ask you if you trade for a living? I'm working my way towards trading for a living. I have a 12-18 month timeframe for ...

Big move today — Does anyone know what moved the yen pairs so much today? I've taken in 200+ pips alone on eurjpy and another 150+ on audjpy. I'm curious because I don't see anything on the news calendar.

I'm using 5,3,3 and 14,3,3. I alternate actually. I find that the 5,3,3 gets you in on the action quicker but the trend may not be truly established. While you may have to wait a bit longer for the 14,3,3, it's normally more reliable.

Yes I do. I think Spud mentioned that we always trade on candle closes until you get better at reading the stochs. Some of the other guys, feel free to chime in and tell us how you guys do it.

It's an indicator found in this thread. Click on the paperclip and select the #MTF Stochastic 2.0. Then drag it on to your chart. Then drag another three of them right on top of the first one.

You are so true on that last part. I have never lost a trade with Method 2. I just get impatient waiting.
One thing that popped out to me during a 11th review of this entire thread (yes 11 times read) was that Spud said to pay attention to your ...MTF Stochastics

I'm so glad to see everyone chiming in! That's great. Well so far my 15m/30m/4hr setup is working just fine. I'm not seeing anything dramatic in the way of change since I've taken the 1hr off my charts. I've lost 3 out of my last 10 trades last ...

KudzuFX, It's funny that you say that. I had just decided last night to go with the 15/30 when it lines up with the direction of the 4h. If I wait for all four to line up, then I do miss out on a lot of trades. I'm finding the 15m/30m/4h to work ...

usdjpy update — Alright. Price came up to the pivot and reversed as expected. The 15m and 30m have crossed 80 with the 15m turning back down. I'm expecting the 30m to follow. If it does, they will both pull the 1hr down with them. I'm in wait ...

Now as I see the 4hr continuing to fall, the 1hr is flat, and the 30m has turned down, I'm expecting the retrace on the 15m to end soon around the pivot point and turn and head back down to resume the trend. I'll be looking to go short right then.

eurusd — here is the trade i just took. I went short at the yellow vertical line. it's really kinda hard to make a big loss when every single tf is telling you what direction the trend is going.

I've gone back and forth on different settings. I've settled back with the 14,3,3 but on "close" instead of "high/low". Just picked up +26 on eurusd.
