Alan, I and others are probably thoroughly confused by what you are asking. Here are two possible, direct questions. Which one is right? 1. What are the best times to trade the system? 2. How do I convert Hendricks default times to align with my own ...

alsup1955, Actually, that's not the case. CoesFX has a relationship with a company called CFGTrader to handle clearing for all their mini accounts. I assume you signed up through StrategyBuilderFX. If you have a standard account through them, then ...

Yep. Merlin stated on the calendar that the time will be close to what is listed, but, we won't know for sure and to expect a lot of volatility until the announcement comes out.
Any idea what time is BOJ announcement?
- stockwet replied Jul 13, 2006
I found some conflicting information. The calendar for GFT Forex lists the announcement at 00:00 GMT. It's listed here at ForexFactory at 1 AM EST. Another calendar I have lists the time at 7:50 PM EST.

I use Trillian and have for some time. There are features in individual IM applications that are not supported by Trillian. However, I'm not an IM power user and rarely, if ever, need all those extra features. The value of being connected to all my ...
Anyone use AOL Instant Messenger?
- stockwet replied Jul 13, 2006
I tend to disagree a bit. There are people that have IM'd me before that I've been willing to give a greater degree of help to because I've developed an "IM" relationship. There are things that I do and ways that I trade that I wouldn't necessarily ...

The announcement time is here on the FF calendar: url . It's 1 AM EST. The bigger question I have, where can I go to get a pretty good realtime announcement? I watch Bloomberg for UK and US announcements. I'm not familiar enough with the Japanese ...

Markets are so slow at that time that it really didn't matter. It's just perplexing to me. Is there another approach to take to place an order at the close of the 3:30 candle besides using time functions?

Now that's interesting. That's not what I thought the problem was. I'm actually using a 30 minute chart and the value I want is 3:30. This actually makes sense. Last night, my expert executed at 3:00. Based on what you said, even though the actual ...

I had a good experience with GFT. I didn't run into any major problems and thought they were a reasonably honest broker. However, I like the MetaTrader platform more than GFT's, and wanted a bit better spreads than what they offer. Overall, I think ...

Take a look at the Hat thread. It's impressive for following the trend. Here's my experience with MA's. A person could pick just about any number on any timeframe and come up with a set of rules for helping to define the trend. Since the MA is just ...

TwoBlink, This looks really promising. I use a 15m entry strategy and have had difficult defining exit spots. I've been looking at this to see if it could help and I'm thinking that you've given me a great solution to my problem. So, I might be ...
HAT Trading method
- stockwet replied Jul 7, 2006
Well, I definitely agree with you. I still get mixed signals with my system which cause me to sit out at times. I'm leaning toward capital preservation these days along with conservative money management. I could probably use a few more NFP's on ...
Non-farm Payroll
- stockwet replied Jul 7, 2006
I don't disagree with you Scott. It's just that everyone tells newbies "Don't trade the NFP" without qualifying their statement as you just did. The NFP is it's own beast that people can become accustomed to trading. However, if all newbies hear are ...
Non-farm Payroll
- stockwet replied Jul 6, 2006
Actually, I love trading NFP. Call me crazy, I guess. I'd say that if you want to trade the NFP, look at every NFP move for the past year. Look at what the candles looked like going into it. Find repeating patterns that you can base a set of rules ...

CoesFX and MetaTrader
- stockwet replied Jun 30, 2006
I've seen this floating around a couple of times. If you read the details, you find that this was an issue not with CoesFX, but with one of their IB's that did not maintain adequate controls over their sales force. It was the IB's sales guys who ...
