Probably, what ASIC should do is the opposite - allow brokers to more easily lend to their clients. Provide a line of credit. I know some do it now, but its not straightforward. Make it automatic.

So lets say you have a normal minimum amount, say $100,000. Unleveraged, that buys you about 50 oz of gold. You want 200 leverage. This means you wish to trade maybe 10,000 oz of gold. That would be very cool.
