It all seems fairly obvious now. I'm not sure why I didn't see it before?

Makes sense in this post. Long USD - the position focuses on the neutral and not the pair.

I assume this was taken from Gann's Tunnel book. Essentially converting into the three kingdoms. The major is the USD and the minors are GBP, EUR and JPY. The positive would be something like GBP/USD and EUR/USD while the negative being USD/JPY. The ...

I don't think this has anything to do with options. fti would need a whole department to get into that area. The more I think about it the more I can see it has to do with managing spirals on cross pairs with the USD being the focus (or neutral).

OK, now you have me thinking a bit. Most people here it seems concentrate on one pair but if we take the USD as our focus, we can be either long or short USD (which I believe is fti's normal position). So basically, if we are long USD then we expect ...

I was under the impression that this was clear to some people on this thread so my follow-up. My take is (MM based): 1. It is a rescue spiral (nothing new here) 2. Trading different currency pairs (USD being the neutral against EUR/GBP/JPY) - three ...

Yes, but fti uses spiral within spiral for attack also.

Thought I'd go back to this since I have some time to think about it. There are still multiple possibilities based on what has been said throughout the thread. Are we talking about rescues here? Rescue levels 1, 2 and 3 using different timeframes? ...

This is the way for day traders who have lots of time. You can also consider the overnight option (trend following on the larger timeframes).

What I noticed very early is the time and attention required. As a result I don't trade so much these days unless I am relatively free. I do observe the charts constantly.

Personally, I think everyone has said enough to put him on the right path. It's now up to him to decide what he wants to do. Hopefully we won't get into anymore tit for tat arguments.

You wont understand many aspects of the first 200 pages until you start trading. Read them, do the excercises and trade the way you understand (the market will be your best teacher). Ask questions when you're not sure but until people here see your ...

We all need to find that balance at the end of the day and if we're not careful we can get into analysis paralysis. Then we are stuck and go nowhere. It's helpful when everyone willing and in good heart is given a chance. Night....

I wasn't trying to help anyone out. I just clarified what I had in mind when I wrote what I wrote. I remember reading that a few days ago and I thought the same then as I wrote today. Again, from your response you seem to over analyse everything and ...

I tend to agree. I would rather encourage people to start reading this thread and discover the jewels fti has left. Leon is 22 years old (according to his profile) so he has lots of potential (if he allows himself to discover it).

Leon, I had this post in mind when "I'd say you'd learn about mechanics, body repairs and even aero dynamics just to drive a car. Why not just learn to drive instead?"

One more thing, it wasn't too long ago that fti was not very impressed with me and my postings and some went even further and "spat" at me.
I'm still here though. Now believe it or not, I have photographic evidence that fti is a real human being ...Technical Analysis Fallacy

Leon what other important things do you have to study? I'd say you'd learn about mechanics, body repairs and even aero dynamics just to drive a car. Why not just learn to drive instead? Once there and after some practice you'd understand that when ...

I mentioned I would write something for those who didn't get it - and to answer their questions. I got about 2/3rds through and after reading responses to Leon and others, most of what I was writing has already been said (in one way or another). In ...
