You are right. It's due to the fact that there has been little or no deviation to the forecast numbers. I just can't remember the last time this situation has gone on for so long. Not much joy trading the news lately.

Retail sales 0.7 % as expected. Almost every single piece of news for february came out with little or no deviation. Not good for us.

February has so far been a slow month for news trading. Small profit so far for the month. Retail sales mostly in line with expectations, another disappointing announcement as far as we are concerned

Well if you add the upward revision of 39k to the headline number of 111k it equals more or less what was expected, hence the lack of a big price move I think.
