I have been looking for opportunities to short for a couple of weeks, but I think it's now at a decision level so see what happens. See my post #6055. I set a pending buy after the hammer.

Before I have to run to work, can you explain more about why you took the long GBP/CAD? I think I see why, but I'd like to hear your reasons.

Daily, entered short on a break of the daily bar of the 20th, moved to break even after it nearly tagged my TP last night my time.

Well poo. My USD/CAD trade missed my TP by 2.3pips last night, then took me out at break even with that nasty spike. Oh well. Also had my pending buy on USD/JPY tagged. Candle is yet to close, but I placed this based on all those wicks to the ...

I take it you're short? Looking at if from boss (weekly) down I don't see a reason to go long. While it's at a support area all the price action I can see is down (worker) or sideways (4hr).

This looks like a solid trade to me. Nothing to say. This one, to me the daily shooting star doesn't stick out enough, it's kind of hidden in the previous candles. Entry on the 4hr chart might work out for you, but I am wary of the candles to the ...

Indeed. I have not entered a position, for all those reasons. However the recent weekly candles have me keeping a close eye on it, there may well be a good retest of the support if it breaks through.

Personally I am not up to the point samson is, but I think the bear candle not going lower than the previous candle, and leaving a bit of a wick on close is solid clue in the right location.

Managed to do something similar on EUR/AUD. I saw price stall at the top of the WCC, placed a pending order under price on 4hr charts, and woke up to a nice profit that hit my TP sometime after I got to work. All based on 4hr charts. EDIT: also ...

Looks like Darko2010 covered most of it, but provided you're comfortable with the risk you can trade it short or between the boundaries of the range it's currently in. I like to think of the big boss as the big picture, like a map that notes the big ...

Apologies everyone, I'm usually a bit quicker getting back but I had some technical difficulties over the weekend with multiple browsers not displaying forexfactory correctly. I'm based in Victoria. Thanks strat, I've always been very hard on myself ...

I've considered it, for example I've got GBP/NZD in a WCC for 31(!) weeks. Been struggling to find good price action to trade the boundaries with confidence though. The EUR/JPY example I posted recently I traded from the middle up, but didn't hold ...

Hey Rub I note a few thumbs up on your post so my response may not be agreed upon by all. I'm also not a profitable trader of PASR myself, but I'm wondering about your idea of stopping early for the month. Some questions: Can you see any parallels ...

This month has been a hard one to trade for me, with one week left I'm on track to eck out a very modest profit with a bunch of break even trades and a couple of losers. Most annoying is I closed all my trades after the first week after I had a ...

That doesn't look like Kraken rum! Sachu, I think the couple of hours after Tokyo opens are the best for 5 minuite trading during Asia but living in Australia I currently have the day close at 7am, the first 4hr close at 11am, one at 3pm, and the ...

Don't get me wrong, while it's frustrating I am seeing results. It's part of why I have been posting my updates every 3 months to show concrete proof. I know a few of the things I need to work on, most of which a psychological, and I'm sure I will ...

Despite my recent post on USD/CAD boss, this is the stuff I don't get. I can ride a trend ok like every other muppet, but despite years of trying to work this stuff out on any time frame I still can't seem to "get" it when it's in front of me. I can ...

Looking at your chart, the thing that stood out to me was from where you've got the start of the trend line drawn the up candles are big, strong candles, and the down ones look more like they're taking their time. If the trend was healthy I'd expect ...

While I see the uptrend on the boss and worker, I don't see the 1.31 support you're talking about? I thought I laid out my reasons for the trade fairly clearly on the images I uploaded, with the trade triggered early this week, and the stop is at ...
