@LauraT - Embarrassing question for you (embarrassing to me, that is). What do you mean by "active trade management"? I have this visual of you sitting in front of your monitor all day. Is that accurate? Thanks.

I'm not complaining - but this is about 20% of my weekly goal. Got to figure out more entries or better trade management. Anyway, thanks again, LauraT, your basic daylight strategy is a winner.

Laura T, I really enjoyed post 801. It reminds me that it might be time to reread Primg and see what I can now get out of it after a few years of experience. I hope you post more of these. Sorry for the late reply, I'm on vacation

Laura, Just wanted to say thanks. While I found your 'Trading Made Simple' method intuitive, that darned day job kept me from being able to actively monitor. This new method lets me trade at a higher timeframe (H4/D1) with some confidence. Just had ...

Kelly Criterion management is new to me. I've sussed out most of it; the one area eluding me is coming up with a reasonable probability number. Can anyone offer guidelines? Clearly I think my edge gives me a greater than 50% probability; but that ...

Wow - got my butt kicked this week. Laura T - the big losses are from D1 trades with stops set at swing highs/lows. Stops have always been my Achilles heel. I am thinking of using a blanket twenty pips, but am wondering if that will be sufficient ...

Here's a trade I am currently in. Note that the SMA200 is all in the same direction (momentum). Note the RSI (more momentum). I simply followed Laura's rules from there. TP is the DayLo, SL is approximately the ADR high on the D1 (H1 is shown). I ...

I won't take a position until the SMA200 indicators all line up (except for weekly) as well as the RSI direction, Laura's rules for channel trading and technical analysis (chart shapes such as flags, wedges, etc.). How do you use the short time ...

Laura T - Thank you. It took a little studying, but I am beginning to understand. One question (for the forum as well) - I've noticed that the more experienced traders pile on positions at timeS. Stomach for risk aside, how does one determine when ...

I am trying to develop a rule of thumb for SL by timeframe. E.g., FXCyborg indicated 2-5 pips for M1; I noticed 25 pips somewhere in this thread on H1. I was taught to put my stop past the local structural high/loow, but that doesn't seem to apply ...

TDI is off, PA is currently following the downward trend, and timeframes are not aligned. I think I'll watch this one.

Have you considered a variable that would allow the user to declare a trend/break in trading? E.g., if a trend goes past R100 or S100, I would not want any (counter) trades opened.
