I see what you are saying HWD but the 9:00 am candle was not the high point of the box. The high point of the box was made at the begining of the box a shown on your chart you posted. You got in early but it worked out for the good.

The high of the box is 1.4192 (the second candle in the box at 11:05) thus making your first candle not the breakout. Then you buy 2-3 pips above the high of the move outside of the box. The pull back bottomed out at 14:00.

Loses for me today on the euro/usd and gbp/usd. Will try again tomorrow. This is one of those bad days, so far.

I think the problem lies at the start of the box, not where it ends. Are you using the New York Box Indi? If so compare it with CTGuy's last chart post.

How did you get 10 out of the G/U this morning? The most I saw positive was 2 or 3 pips before it shot up. Did you trade long or short this morning?

Where do you have your stop set? I think CTGuy said he uses a stop of 15 pips. Price hit the top of the box @ 1.7637 which would have taken you out there too.
