This looks like a nice set up on the GBP UPDATE: Didn't stop at the 38.2 though, so this set up is a bust unfortunately.

I still don't understand your "tracking" fib, but obviously it's covered in the thread. I'll take your word for it, and try re-reading it all again.
I also understand why my earlier GBP guess to hit 1.4845 failed. In addition to not having ...Indicator Free Trading - Skunny

I'm still looking at the pound. That yellow line is an SMA50 Price *JUST* missed target before flying backwards. Perhaps more confirmation was needed before going *potentially* further down? Nice trades on the way up though....

looks like that set up "flew the coop" MD... Now this is the part I don't get... why did that one fail? (that is assuming that price, on the way down, doesn't fling past a 61 fib set up)

Cheers for that chart MD. I think I get it now. Now that I look at it (and backtest it a bit) I can tell it's the holy grail
I also notice that where the price bounces of the 61 (where you have aligned the fib), misses a break of the 100, ...Indicator Free Trading - Skunny

Hey MisterDaz. I went and looked back again through the thread and saw how skunny said something about fibs belonging on completed cycles (and something else about their correct placement, maybe you can correct me here) Anyway, with that in mind, I ...

Inspired initially by the software (which drew fibs and extensions all over the place between 1,2,3 points)... I remembered that skunny mentioned just using the 138, 0, and 100 fibs only... so I cut a lot of fibs out of the mix. Then I remembered ...

Well, after my flawed prediction I went back to basic with fibs. So far, I have been investigating the logic of the fib-pro-trader software I linked to and taken a close look at the video they posted about the logic. Using fractals for assistance in ...

I caught this one just then on the EURUSD M15. There's a solid break of the ALF with a big heavy candle there, in addition the TVI indicator alerted a change in colour. (actually I was considering a trade around this area anyway, I had a feeling ...

Slight correction. We may very well hit today's 161 (2-days ago 138). The news report coming out today seem to be suggesting it as well. And as I speak, the pair is making some very wicky candles around 1.3700

Typical pattern — We're going down to the 138 on the EURUSD today. There's a typical pattern forming... A break past 2-days ago low followed by a retrace into the 61.8, most likely to be followed by another attack on yesterday's low. There'll ...

Nice. So basically we wait for the Laguerre filter to go flat and then take the direction that the TVI tells us to. So what are the finer points?

That failed — Ooook, so that failed cause my stop was too tight. Haaaaaa No harm done though, as there was no loss. Anyway, it definitely seems to be the fibbed range where the best place to enter the trend is... (I think). At least it worked ...

I think I know why.... NEWS. Also, after that initial pin to the 76, and hit to the 61,.... the price *Should* have gone down by that time in the trading session... but the reason it didn't was because the market was waiting for the news... hence ...

Ouch — I'm at a bit of a loss as to why price hit the 38 retrace before sliding down. If I had have taken at the 61.8 like I had originally planned, I would have been stopped out

Pin bar sighting — Daily Pin bar spotted. Cue to go down. Also noting that there's a 61.8 fib of the 2009 monthly move up sitting just below the 100. It was indicator pierced some time back, so we could be in for more drops. I guess the 61.8 ...
