Hi bpran Regarding the index. It converts net positions into 0 - 100% range for the given period - for example, last 26 weeks. So what it's doing it finds Min and Max value for the given range and than calculates like (value - min)/(max - min)* 100%.

And BTW buys - my version of COT indicators ARE FULLY AUTOMATED - they poll the CFTC and other official websites periodically and you don't need to handle all that stuff with files etc.
