jmflukeiii replied Jan 17, 2020I've seen gaps also lead to protracted trends as well, but given that yesterday ended in a buy climax and overnight feels like a buy climax, exhaustion seems more likely. But could lead, as you game plan suggests, to a nice morning trend down.

jmflukeiii replied Jan 17, 2020I have some issues with the dow for whatever reason, which is why I didn't post a chart from ninja. I'm missing about 6 hours of data overnight for some reason. NQ and ES are fine. But yes, it would seem easiest to have it all under one roof.

jmflukeiii replied Jan 17, 2020Some thoughts here - and I don't know what platform you are using, but yes, I'm very happy with Ninjatrader. I'm fortunate to have bought it when I was first starting thinking I was going to get rich quick. We all know how that turned out.... but at ...

jmflukeiii replied Jan 17, 2020I prefer first pullbacks after the trend break which I define as that last swing high or low being broken. Occasionally, during slower volume like yesterday, the pullback is on a single bar. Other times, when the break is back into the main trend, I ...

jmflukeiii replied Jan 16, 2020Do you happen to, or would you be willing to, provide a screenshot of that bar on your charts? Would be interesting to see what it looked like. I see the current RTH low and a swift rejection looking at the price, but imagine large bid delta near ...

jmflukeiii replied Jan 16, 2020It seems to me that this is typically the case when new highs are made. No one is interested in buying at the new highs so you're left with sellers. Then price falls again until the intraday 'buy the dippers' buy it back up. Very interesting charts!

jmflukeiii replied Jan 16, 2020First trade of the day, just love it so much when these things play out so perfectly. Classic triangle trade: price breaks down out of the triangle, but fails, then breaks up, then pulls back to the apex of the triangle, and then boom, off it goes! ...

jmflukeiii replied Jan 16, 2020Well, I suspect there are all sorts of ways people make trading decisions including in depth statistical analysis. The bottom line is markets are an auction; price moves up until there are no more buyers (or there is more aggressive selling than ...

jmflukeiii replied Jan 15, 2020Michaels response hit the nail on the head; just watch the chart without the pressure of making a decision (meaning don’t try to trade, just watch). Mark a place where price seemed to turn; see what happens when it gets back there: does it break, ...

jmflukeiii replied Jan 15, 2020I generally use a fixed stop of 5 points in the NQ, but if the low or high prior to my entry is not much farther away, I might stick it out beyond that. Once I have 5 points profit, I move to break even. After achieving a minimum daily goal (40 ...
