some winning systems are "my baby" and along the same lines "no brainer trades".......

good morning from NZ, I`m a manual type of guy and I wonder if somebody with backtesting skills with good data could tell me which pair gives the best return in the last 10-12 years.....from what I`ve seen here so far, it seems to be GBP/JPY with ...

hi Mr Smilee.....hey I think you`re confused.....I did not ask about the number of trades in CJ or CHJ......you wrote before that you did not have more than 4 trades in any pair......so you cant have been trading CHJ, thats all I said.....

Glad to see you`re still alive Mr Smilee.....I thought you had left the building......
I grant you this: your system has an amazing win rate......up to 80-85%.....but always open to new ideas or reminded of old ideas.......so ...DOS. Daily Open Strategy. Easy To Trade, Simple To Win (EA..soon)

are you not confused with another strategy?.....for example with GBP/NZD we`re looking for 50 pips within 24 hours.....we dont care if those 50 pips come about in the Asian, London or US session.....the earlier the entry, after the spread is back to ...

hi all, most of you people open the basket at 5pm New York time or a few hours later, so it will just be wandering around in the Asian session.....do you think it would be wiser to open it near London open, where the trends most likely will ...

why dont you back up your statement with your backtest, otherwise its just words.....say GBP/JPY...body up more than 110 pips yesterday, we go short at open today for 25 pip profit.....winning percentage 84% from 2008 till now.....return around 20% ...

agree with you tommy.....the most likely candidate for a single pair for an account seems to be GBP/JPY......around 80 trades per year with a return of 20% per year.....

unfortunately the odds with this strategy are lousy....you are risking 1,250 pips (= 25% of the account) for a 50 pip profit.....not good, unless better profit taking and a well thought out SL are implemented.....

the TP is from entry......so in my example above, if you enter a sell order @ 1.4485, you could have a TP @ 1.4465-1.4450.... a bit of caution here: say the pair you`re selling has a daily ATR of 85........price rises from 1.4500 to 1.4550 and then ...

flashpaul in post 41 explains it very well.......I`ll give an example.... the price is up, the body of the candle is more than 80 pips and the closing price is 1.4500.......now we`re going to sell today if possible.... at the start of the day, price ...

agree with you flashpaul......Drawdown: the big elephant in the room....If you trade 1 pair, you might hit the 25% drawdown once every 10 years..........certainly not trading the 28 pairs........every effort should be on minimizing drawdown OR stop ...
