See this NZDUSD M15 chart. I shorted the because of the retrace after the lower low on the right. Now I think the zone denoted by the violet rectangle should have been engulfed before thinking of shorting after a retrace. Is that correct? image

So, when I can do these steps correct I just need a stop of a few pips. Can I turn that around? When I enter100 trades with a small stop and 90 got stopped out my analysis would be incorrect?

Yes, possibly. But from reading forums it is hard to know "who knows", because "everyone" gives his/her opinion on subjects.

I studied the M1. For what its worth here is my analysis: image And I think you level was correct. I wonder how long you would have hold the trade say you would have shorted at your arrow.

I guess you know what 'engulf' in itself is. What can be engulfed: a FL, a Key-level, a FTR. When either of these are engulfed price might go to the origin of the move. An FL should be a pause after an (extended) drop or rise of the price. See below ...

Trading H4 on GBPUSD this was my reasoning: image Former Demand level broken and lower low. Price can go lower to the origin of the big up candle after price retraces. Does that make any sense?
