It does indeed. Here Islander's "Selling Climax Candle" from the 6th. (Time is UTC-1h in this one) Other spreadbet brokers behave similarly. Whether that's a "problem" or not does indeed depend upon ones perspective, but at the very least forewarned ...

Following a previous conversation with D1 about IG spreads, and further to the CFD versus futures debate, here's IG's DAX quotes from around 13:30 UTC today. The spread is fixed at 1.0 but there are some noticeable gaps!

Thanks for the info, and the enlightening trading demonstration last night! As per my tick chart above, the spread on many flavours of MT gets a lot worse than 2.4 around news time. I'll check out IG more closely than I have in the past.

A quick question D1, once you've got the beers in. I assume you're not trading using MetaTrader! IG's web platform? If so do you have any feel for what their spreads/lags were like around the time of the recent news from Ma Yellen?
