I too find myself using shorts more than anything....the old "escalator up and the elevator shaft down" syndrome.

I still have the inclination to short this pair...but, have been reduced to just 20-25% ATR on each trade. If you can watch it carefully (like I do) one can counter trend, trade it short successfully on Event Risk run ups...not much pips...but, you ...
