For starters, as LG mentions herself in the first post, counter trend trades are also proving to be good for securing pips. However, more to the point......do you think, based on the 200 EMA on the H1 for EURUSD, that it's in an uptrend or ...

This is where an EA will always differ from the trader's own view though. Look at the 200 EMA on the H1 for EURUSD. Going by the 200 EMA alone (which the EA must do), is the trend up or down? Try zooming in and out of the H1 chart, then ask yourself ...

Trade updates — Stuck to the plan today, so that was the first and most important success! Entered GBPUSD upon H1/M15 EMA cross (as shown in the charts I posted), followed by EURUSD a short while after on the H1/M15 EMA cross. I'm still ...

I was under the impression that simply multiplying the period was not completely accurate? There are many Multiple Time Frame (MTF) indicators available on FF which allow you to display a "true" MA from one time frame on another. I've used them and ...

If you have a look at their website, they provide hosting services to loads of huge companies (my firm also uses them, which is how I heard about them), so they're ...I've finally found a good VPS

Hey sprabhu, welcome to the thread. The thing to remember with this strategy is to start by checking the higher TF and then checking for confirmation of the lower TF. So, if you check your H1 chart, you'll see that the last MA cross was actually ...

Dryclean, I've not used the Easy Order EA before, could you clarify something for me.....does it allow you to set your risk AND stop loss, then it will place a trade of the correct lot size? If so, that would be very useful to me. However, if it ...

I was experimenting with MPTMs settings today, here's the results of the trades I posted earlier: GBPUSD - 50% of trade closed at 15 pips, then SL was moved to breakeven with a jumping stop trailing the remaining 50%. PA eventually reversed and took ...

I've been having some pretty good results using the H1/M15 and M30/M5 EMA cross overs. I've spoken to LG and she's happy for me to post the following attachments. I use SteveHopwood's excellent MPTM EA to manage my trades once I have taken them. ...

Just closed EURCHF for 15 pips. Only short of my TP by 5 pips and PA seemed to have lost momentum so took the healthy 15 pips instead of risking a retrace wiping out all the gain.
