Hi holmes, Are you still in this trade? Entry at 1.3496 is only 4 away from a round number so you have to be careful. If you are still in you could be up.

Hi holmes, The extreme point rule is kind of disregarded as 99% of the time with a rising adx the price goes past the extreme point of the dmi cross. Wilder introduced this for those persons just trading the dmi cross to cut down on whip saws. ADX ...

Hi holmes, You can put your stops where you feel comfortable. I place them at the high or low of the indicating candle. A trend is determined by lower lows and lower highs for short and vice versa for long. If you place your stop at the high or low ...

Hi guys, gbp/usd got out for 15 pips - turned around pretty quick and I was a bit slow. Did however have 40 pips of success with cad/jpy which I opened before going to the gym. I had put a limit order on the next bit of support I could find. When I ...

hi acartwright, just a general question. in trying to access whether price has any potential move upward/downward or going sideways, what can one look at (indicators?)? how do you normally access such situations? by looking at pure price action? ...

Hi Canuck, Well I cannot tell you off if you make a profit now can I
. I try to trade when all 3 line up - this is just for being in a comfort zone. I can then tell myself if I have a loser that I traded on the best set up. If I go in late and do ...Directional Movement

Hi Balle, Sorry to tkae such a long time to repsond - I have only just seen your post. This strategy works on all time frames. The reaosn I use hourly is due to the spread I trade on. If you can get a big move on the 1m it is worth it but sometimes ...

Hi holmes, There are no real specific things on the MACD that I can mention apart from the normal way to trade MACD. In this strategy it is only a confirming indicator. I would point out the following though: 1. MACD above signal line and above zero ...

Hi holmes, Nevermind there are plenty more trades to come. If you had traded the system with g/u you would be up 35 pips. soemtimes it is aobut picking the wrong pair but if you get the break even that is still as good as a winner.

Hi holmes, I think this trade has a chance if it gets beyond 13670. Next area to look at then would be 13735. There is quite strong resistance at its current level.

Hi holmes, This was a viald signal and you should not be in too much trouble with it. The only thing that I can add for futre is that you are now trading outside the London session. Euro and GBP pairs tend to lose their volatility after 5pm GMT. ...

Hi holmes, THe DMI signalled at 6.00 am GMT. However the MACD was not correct. I would therefore leave this pair alone until there is a new signal on the DMI and the MACD confirms.

Hi holmes, This comment was in a response to the system showing a sell on GBPUSD. The indicating candle has a higher high and a higher low which would represent the start of a move long. As a result I would not have taken the sell signal the system ...

Hi fxpilot, There did seem to be a signal generated on the GBPUSD. However the candle that gave the signal had a higher high and a higher low so I would be staying away from that one.

Hi holmes, It is hard to say whether or not to enter on this set up. There is support around the 13325 area - also the overall trend is up so it could have been a retracement of notable value that changed the indicators to show a sell signal. It is ...

Hi holmes, I am always careful when ADX turns from a high position - this is due to the ADX only having a certian amount of room to increase. In regard to the eur/usd it is currently at what I would call a resistance point at 13385. Also ADX has not ...

I tend to use 1 hour time frame. I simply zoom out so I can get a clearer picture of where the s/r points are likely to be. This is in conjunction with also using trendlines.
