Looking at the signals for the new daily bar, I see that of the eight pairs I'm currently tracking, only the EUR/CHF has given an entry today.. actually it was yesterday (based on my ODL MT4 charts), but part of the beauty of a daily system is that ...

Thanks. None of these indicators repaints... the value of the current bar may change as price fluctuates until the bar is closed (like any other indicator), but once it closes the value won't change anymore. DGC

Driven mostly by time constraints, I've decided to re-focus my efforts on this system to the daily timeframe. I'll take a look at the most popular pairs at the end of this trading day (using the classic SR plan) and report where I see entries... ...

Yes, it seems that the SV is carrying essentially the same info as the other two... there is sometimes value in being able to see the entries and exits represented in different ways - and even in different indicators - so for some in may be useful ...

It's been kind of quiet with the uncertainty in the markets for the last couple of days, though there have been a small number of tasty signals. I think we may be seeing downward direction developing in the EURUSD, so I took the short signal on the ...

Yes, it is in fact a slimmed-down specialized version of the HMA. I gave it a new name so it wouldn't be confused with the standard version that's floating around out there. Because the parameter structure of the SwingLine differs from that of the ...

I haven't tried to define a general stop loss because it's really a matter of personal preference and comfort level. Also, it would need to be determined individually for each currency pair, and should be adjusted to fit recent price action. The ...

Part of the value of this system is that the timing seems to work pretty well across TFs with the same period values. This way, each TF is seen in the context of its own bars. If you want to add the above code to your own version, please let us know ...

First you need to open the Navigator window (Ctrl/N), then open the Custom Indicators section of the navigation tree. Drag and drop the Early Warning indicator to the window containing the SwingValidator indicator. That's all it takes! DGC

Here is a good example of a confused market - and why it's helpful to have colors in the SwingValidator... In this chart we see that the price has broken the SwingLine according to the rules and the SwingValidator is moving up. This would seem to be ...

You're very welcome. Here's another contribution: I've created an updated version of the SwingValidator that changes color to show whether it's validating an upswing (ForestGreen) or a downswing (Crimson). Also, I've taken to placing both the ...

Today was a good example of when market transition periods can confuse the normal trading patterns. There were a number of good looking signals from the SwingRider system, but less than half of them worked out well. EURUSD: I took a modest (23 pip) ...

I've been experimenting with various forms of the SwingLine indicator for more than a year, and I've been tweaking and tuning this particular system for a few weeks - demo trading only so far. I'm trying to keep it simple and work with things the ...

If the SwingValidator is moving down when you get a signal, you should wait a few bars for the SV to turn up before trading. It's not necessary to abandon a swing just because the first bar that opens across the SwingLine is not validated. The ...

I put those on there manually just to illustrate the entry and exit points. They're not placed there by the indicators. When (and if) an EA is created for this system, such signals could be explicitly drawn. For now, you'd have to do them yourself, ...

For safety, and for accurate backtesting it would probably be better to wait as you indicate. There's seldom a problem with waiting a little longer in swing trading if you're not sure of what you're seeing... this is not scalping, right? Live, I ...
