lovejoy80 replied Nov 14, 2012Very nice trade and that was a no brainer FB setup too.

lovejoy80 replied Nov 14, 2012I watch fundamentals to the extent that I am aware of major news events and what they likely mean to price. I'm also aware of them in terms of extra spread and whipsaws that could affect an upcoming trade or a trade I'm in. I don't use fundamentals ...

lovejoy80 replied Nov 14, 2012It's not a standard FB setup for me - it was a deeper test of the demand marked in the chart below which in turn was small FB of the previous lows (which formed a support level) but the impulsive move down and the small FB means it's not one I'd ...

lovejoy80 replied Nov 13, 2012Stand out setup of the day was the ENZD and those that follow me on Twitter will know I didn't get a fill due to Oanda'a 30 pip spread at the ZEW news. Annotated chart below showing some additional comments I discussed with my Trading Room group at ...

lovejoy80 replied Nov 13, 2012This was actually an FB that occurred there. I too was looking to buy lower with a riskier FTB trade (riskier due to the lack of obvious value) but we didn't get the quick rejection from the daily area I was looking for so bailed out for 0.49R loss.

lovejoy80 replied Nov 13, 2012No I didn't, I don't tend to take daily TF setups, but it was a nice one with a very clear DP as can be seen on H4. No there isn't, a Google search will find some decent basic information regarding inter-market correlations. I might post some of my ...

lovejoy80 replied Nov 12, 20121. Yes this is a fresh demand and thus a valid FTB trade. 2. I personally prefer it when zones and levels are tested fairly soon after e.g. I don't like a H1 based area being tested a 4-5 months in the future - but that's just me as I know others ...

lovejoy80 replied Nov 9, 20123 trades closed today. 1. UCHF - FTB of an M5 DBD - 1R 2. FB of an 5min EU support - the 5min close wasn't a good close for an FB so looked at the M1 chart for a move above and successful retest of the support +1.40R 3. H1 FTB on AJ from last night ...

lovejoy80 replied Nov 9, 2012When looking for a bull trap of an SR you want a) a clear concise SR - one that is obvious many traders are looking at in terms of a potential breakout and b) you want a quick material move above that SR which is then completely reversed - either on ...

lovejoy80 replied Nov 9, 2012Nice trade outcome, but that's not an FTB, it's the 2nd time back as price has already hit this area as per the arrow to the left. I actually traded the FTB of the SD zones marked.

lovejoy80 replied Nov 8, 2012Another FB trade I took today - Bund on M5. Exactly the same as the UCHF FB setup above, this time it was an M5 SR with a M10 FB after hitting demand. Note how price initially did the same thing that UCHF did - it had a successful retest of the SR ...

lovejoy80 replied Nov 8, 2012UCHF was a M15 FB setup. Clear SR with a clear FB of this SR. I reduced my SL from 41's to 39's after the successful retest of the SR on the next bar. I then cut 50% of the trade after the next bearish bar and finally my SL got hit when price moved ...

lovejoy80 replied Nov 8, 2012The GU setup was a H1 TF FTB. However I have attached the 30min TF chart below as it show's the logic behind the decision to tighten the SL more clearly. My original SL was just below the lower SR marked - this was the main first demand area below ...

lovejoy80 replied Nov 8, 2012As well as the UCAD trade (+1R) yesterday I also had the following: 1. Gold - FB of an SR and swing higher after hitting clear supply +1.15R 2. GU SR FTB - exited for -0.60R 3. EU -M15 FTB -just a quick scalp for +0.92R

lovejoy80 replied Nov 7, 2012Yes this is a good setup and one I took, though I didn't see any decent signs for this sustained USD strength so bailed for only 1R.

lovejoy80 replied Nov 6, 2012Another example in finding decision points to base entry and SL around on a trade I'm currently in...EJ H1 FTB - an FTB which is both an SR zone and an SD zone. My entry was just below the zone edge marked and my SL was just above that higher DP ...
