ChicagoRob replied May 15, 2015You trade in the direction of the new candle color: red, short; green, long. Per the strategy, 0.0 fib is the SL, 100.0 fib is the entry. TP is 200 fib, sometimes 300 fib. The trade is left to either hit SL or TP. Changes in candle color, while a ...

ChicagoRob replied May 15, 2015My entries are exactly per the rules. I try to get at least 161.8 fib for TP, but if I see a loss of momentum, I'll tighten the SL and let the trade stop itself out for a small gain. If I see an increase in momentum, I'll let the trade ride until it ...

ChicagoRob replied May 14, 2015Not bad for one day. And this is with my bullshit US broker deleting all the hedge orders.
Trapping System: Grid

ChicagoRob replied May 14, 2015You are correct. If I'm in a trade, I don't hedge my position when candle color changes. I've done well with this strategy without hedging, so it shouldn't be a problem.

ChicagoRob replied May 14, 2015The rule is that the trade must be in the direction of the new color candle.
Daily green/red candle
-
ChicagoRob replied May 14, 2015If you follow the rules of trading each color change for a given pair, you will, in many cases, end up hedging your position.

ChicagoRob replied May 14, 2015If an EA is made to follow the rules, it must have an input to defeat hedging, as it is not allowed by US brokers.

ChicagoRob replied May 14, 2015I know we're all looking for improvements, but has anyone really looked at dimdel's Trade Explorer? 400% in 17 days. That is incredible performance and stands by itself. If you follow dimdel's rules, you will probably make more money with this ...

ChicagoRob replied May 13, 2015I'm trading gbpjpy, also. If you zoom out, you can see the pair has formed a massive double-top formation, so I'm looking for some downside action.

ChicagoRob replied May 13, 2015I hate indicators, but in this case it might be helpful. Yes, perhaps fewer trades, but maybe a better winning percentage. I'm hoping an EA will be forthcoming, which would give us immediate results, as to the filter's effectiveness. Rob

ChicagoRob replied May 9, 2015I currently have three demos running. I posted the one-week results for the first demo in a prior post. My second demo uses the signal candle high/low for the SL, and 161.8 fib for TP. The third will employ your 50-pip TS. I'm also trading 12 pairs.

ChicagoRob replied May 8, 2015These are the results for the first week I've been trading the strategy. Profit factor is high and I can't complain about the 1% DD. I expect my results to improve even more, as I get more price-action experience under my belt.
