hello TooSlow, am too doubtful it will work for me to put any effort in it. you`ll have to take every trade on H1 as long as the last H1 candle is higher than the previous one before finally arriving at the high of the day. provided of course that ...

TooSlow, the only problem I see is that we don't know which H1 candle will be the high/low of the day even if the current candle is the highest/lowest of the day so far. H1 candles after the current candle might go even higher/lower???

Cobra, nice effort, but profit is depending on a trend being there on the day. if not, the drawdown for your system in a ranging period can be very large, seeing that you raise your lot size every time the grid level is hit again. so if price ...

genasea, from my research a pair with a daily ATR of 90-100 pips a distance of around 70 pips from long to short is the most profitable. so its no use talking about 10 pip grid steps in JPY pairs with an even higher daily ATR if you have a trending ...

in post 97 you mentioned that: 1. after a move down and price reverses, we have our first 2 buys. at this time we have 2 sell danglers open from the grid level below. eliminate those 2 sell danglers with the sell located 2 steps above from where we ...

hello Tim, thanks for your reply....... to get any confusion out of the way: am not convinced yet that the ea proposed here will work for me. it is not a ranging or trending way of trading the grid, but a mixture with buy/sell orders triggered above ...

hello Tim, thank you for your reply to my questions, appreciate it. I have my own gridding system, but yours works better in tight ranging conditions. did a test on AUD/NZD and NZD/USD and have a few questions........ for the 1 month period 19/3 - ...

I backtested AUD/NZD manually from 25/3/15 to 24/8/15, so my numbers are correct apart from maybe some slippage. during that time there were very good trends in this pair from around 1.0000 to 1.1400 and back and forth to 1.1000 from there. the dd ...

hi genasea, regarding your explanation in post 13: you have a trend grid here really......buy above price, sell below price. a better way to get rid of opposite trades in a trend: price rises up from 155.00 and a buy order triggers @ 155.10 if you ...
