pips4life replied Aug 29, 2011It works fine for me. You didn't say, but did you use a timeshift? If so, then "Symbol()" would return the currency name PLUS a suffix! For example: Symbol() -> EURUSD+1H You say you're generating an H2 chart, and your iClose uses "PERIOD_H1*2". It ...

pips4life replied Aug 23, 2011Peter, Another good call on GA for you last night, just a couple hours early. I drew a different Andrews up-fork that encompasses more of the swing from the 2nd to 3rd fork pivot. I see better resonance for the regular Schiff (not M.Schiff, although ...

pips4life replied Aug 23, 2011Hi Peter, Nice EU chart you posted last night. By now you see it topped a bit above where you speculated, pretty much exactly at the 1st Andrews Warning Line, and just slightly below the M.Schiff ML. I'm just looking at it now in hindsight, and ...

pips4life replied Aug 17, 2011IMO, larger spread out forks offer better accuracy for such long term trends as the USDUCH. For kicks, I did a quick analysis and here are two interesting Daily USDCHF charts with large (3 yr) forks. (Note, my broker GMT-5 feed has ...

pips4life replied Aug 16, 2011Yes it can be a credible fork. Of course the original Andrews and the M.Schiff (and regular Schiff too) usually resonate much better, I have noticed there are times when the double M.Schiff does resonate well also. I'll tell you something else about ...

pips4life replied Aug 10, 2011Here is a 3rd EU H1 chart to consider. Since my previous "2nd EU H1" chart had virtually no pre-fork resonance for the blue Andrews fork, I drew two more obvious Andrews forks, and it turns out that both have some pre-fork Andrews resonance that ...

pips4life replied Aug 10, 2011Although it is very difficult to "predict" the third pivot C (pt "3" in my drawings), I do think it is worthwhile to try to do so to give evidence that a decent pivot has formed and will (more probably) hold if it has good pre-fork resonance. One ...

pips4life replied Jun 28, 2011In my Clock program, all market zones are considered "open" from 8AM to 5PM local time, with the exception of Sydney, which has a default of 7AM to 4PM (which the user can customize). (FYI, an Aussie user informed me of the local market hours and so ...

pips4life replied Jun 5, 20111. Did you definitely enable "Allow DLL Imports" under the Common tab when you attached them to your chart? 2. Is it possible your popup window is appearing off-screen somewhere that you can't see it? (It usually makes a bell sound too, so if your ...

pips4life replied Jun 4, 2011Did you select "Allow DLL Imports" when you added Clock and PeriodCon to your charts? The Clock should display times in the lower-left corner. On the weekend, the market times will be wrong until your broker starts up again. You do know that ...

pips4life replied May 25, 2011Hi forkTrader, FYI, your CL/Action/Reaction set is in fact the same as the Mod. Schiff (magenta) of the Andrews (black) fork shown here. The dark blue Andrews down fork never contained the down move but it was part of of energy point where it ...

pips4life replied May 13, 2011I'm working on some other things so I'm pretty busy right now, but in order to put together any kind of EA would require very precise description of the setups that and EA should or should not take. It is very hard to code subjective criteria if not ...

pips4life replied May 11, 2011I'm sure it was a simple oversight, but no where in this thread did you specify your default values (however a close inspection of your charts does show "RSI(9)" in the upper-left corner). (Fyi, Revstar was using 14 like me). Do you use the default ...

pips4life replied May 10, 2011Hi Mystic. Glad to see you back. Couple of comments: 1) I believe you mispoke about the blue line which in fact is the "RSI(14)" line, not the MA line. The smoother red line is the "MA" line. At least that's what I get when I add the SMI+MA ...
