EU at resistance, GU at support before ECB. Interesting.

Navk actually used to post his trades on daily basis. And I have to say he is predicting movements wrong quite often, but very rarely loses money. Which I think is a sign of an excellent trader. I am not in the same league (hopefully yet), and see ...

You are a better trader than I am of course. But limited risk? Huge political risks for UK (confirmed no deal will send pound hundreds of pips down) + ECB decision / conference today.

I guess EUR and GBP bulls want to really push higher before ECB conference and Brexit-related news, but understandably find it tough. Still, they probably would be able to do something, as I always say, 50 pips move is always possible with G/U, ...

I will make a prediction: if we see a quick rise to 1.35 sometime in the next month, it will be just before no-deal Brexit (options: negative rates announcement from BOE, big unemployment jump).

It is not required. Lords may return it back to Commons, and if Commons vote for it again, Lords will have no say. There is a small chance it won't pass Commons... but really small, the conservatives are mostly spineless when it comes to voting.

On the hot topic of the day. I watched some TV coverage of Johnson and his ministers, and can tell you with certainty they will not back down. Essentially, this is a declaration of war, as far as negotiations with EU are concerned. EU cannot do ...

SL=BE hit on previous position. Sold the spike at 1.297, I usually sell the spikes like these if I don't understand them and they go against the trend. SL now at BE, let's see if another spike will come.

Placed a sell at 1.294, initial stop 20 pips, now at BE. TP open, I plan to hold on to this one. If SL is hit, will look for a place to sell higher.

I am thinking about placing my sell target at 1.282. Market gods want fun to continue, there may be a big reversal from that area all the way to 1.348 again.

I do know about the buy the rumour, sell the news concept, and it works well in general, I agree. However, unexpected (real) news are not in that category. E.g., if Johnson says that it is absolutely necessary to rewrite large parts of Withdrawal ...

Quite possible, if we don't have _new_ developments. However, publication of the bill will trigger reaction from EU. In extreme case, EU may put trade negotiations on hold, arguing that UK government is acting in bad faith; it would be a very ...

Update: it looks unlikely that the bill will be delayed. One of the ministers was talking today about why we need to do this. So Boris is likely to double down in PMQ (12 London time) and later at 4pm press conference.

It may of course bounce for 50/100 pips (always a possibility with G/U). For a bigger retrace, the problem is... what good news can there be? The current selloff is due to Brexit row. It can be defused if Johnson rows back and explains that he ...
