Kanzler replied Feb 13, 2014I'm still young and poor. Even if I'd made 10% a month I'd still not be able to live on it, so my career has to take priority. And of course, Slim. Although I have to say, you've settled down some.
All the best to you as well.USD/JPY Discussion

Kanzler replied Feb 13, 2014Hey Slim, been busy with work but in terms of trading the honest truth is I've simply been spinning my wheels the last few months. String of losers followed by a good win to replace them and then it starts all over. Not much to brag about. Yourself?

Kanzler replied Feb 13, 2014Means absolutely nothing. There are plenty of "parallels" in history which didn't complete. If it does, it's merely coincidence.

Kanzler replied Feb 13, 2014Maybe you should call it quits. Some people just aren't ever going to get it in this business even if they put a lot of time and effort into it.

Kanzler replied Feb 13, 2014Just FYI, when I refer to structure I mean something like this. Clean, pleasing to the eye, and high probability. Probably one of the biggest winning trades anybody could have taken today, although I missed it and wouldn't have held long enough to ...

Kanzler replied Feb 13, 2014Just the lack of structure on my part...seems like a place a lot of support/resistance retail traders would sell at as well. I have a feeling they might try to jam through some move before it drops in order to hit stops. To your and his credit ...

Kanzler replied Feb 13, 2014Why are you trading that? I don't see it as very good odds.

Kanzler replied Feb 12, 2014One rarely written rule I use is that if it's too busy to the left, if price already spent some significant time there in the recent past, it's probably not much for lots of fresh orders. As far as them forming from other levels or looking like ...

Kanzler replied Jan 29, 2014I'm out of that position with this morning's drop but I don't think you know what you're talking about. This game is all about odds and luck - I know where good entry points are but nobody without inside information can predict the results of things ...

Kanzler replied Jan 28, 2014Up, down, or both...definitely doesn't qualify as "nowhere" when that happens. Just saying though, this market is always full of BS....nothing new there and not a reason not to trade.

Kanzler replied Jan 27, 2014I'm giving FXCM's dealing desk execution a chance although I haven't had many good high quality opportunities to test it yet. So far I haven't noticed any radical spread widenings, though. That and my primary trading machine lost its graphic card ...

Kanzler replied Dec 30, 2013You wouldn't catch me dead climbing in that kind of weather, that's asking for death. Beautiful land in Scotland though, been over a decade since I was last there. I had Armageddon for Oanda's daily rollover as usual. They only triple the spread...

Kanzler replied Dec 30, 2013Rural high plains of the US. Climate doesn't vary too much north after that point...humid continental with lots of extreme highs and lows. I've only experienced single digit negatives (F) so I might be in for a little bit of adjusting.

Kanzler replied Dec 30, 2013I don't think I'll have a problem finding a job given what I majored in, although if my plans go as I want them to I'll be moving someplace very cold soon lol. Extreme late November temperatures were -23F/-30C.

Kanzler replied Dec 30, 2013No I don't live off of this, it's what could be considered part-time income which I just re-invest in the account. Right now it's proof of concept with a good amount of money for me up from trading demo and tiny accounts before...I like the idea of ...
