up top on the tool bar you have two spy glasses one has a "+" the other "-" in it hit the "+" till you get the size you want

I use them mostly on the 30 min though I will look at them on the 4 hour & day just to see if they are way out of wack but normally the 30 min is all you need to watch TEB

yes to your 1st question the MAs are more to judge pip room a strong move back in a big trend is better then price on the wrong side in a flat market the 20sma use as the 50ema in a strong trend or no trend use it the same as you would the 50 ema
