spzd replied Oct 19, 2011You got that right. I live here in Appalachia Tennessee. One of my distant relatives is Robert E. Lee. With all that being said, skin color doesn't mean jack to me. It's a man's accomplishments and actions.

spzd replied Oct 19, 2011How I see this, is that as long as the item is available for purchase and is still an included part of the calculation, it is counted. The not connected to purchasing is that the product doesn't necesarily need to purchased, it just has to be ...

spzd replied Oct 19, 2011CPI reflects the price of the product, not whether or not they are being purchased. Another thing with CPI, especially the core CPI, is that the most volatile components are not included, i.e., food and energy.

spzd replied Oct 19, 2011Your welcome PT. I myself wondered about this many times in the past. Once I figured it out a few years ago, I basically gave little attention to CPI. But as you notice the politicians and talking head 'experts' hardly ever mention PPI, as it's not ...

spzd replied Oct 19, 2011Why PPI is not reflected in CPI — There were a few questioning why the increase in PPI was not reflected in CPI. Here is the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) explanation of how they differ url The bottom line is the CPI is used for wage ...

spzd replied Oct 17, 2011Correct you are. I do keep up, to a certain degree, with fundamentals, but I try not to overload myself with too much. An example of losing focus on the fundamental-news side was last week with the secon ( or was it third ) Slovakia vote. I had ...

spzd replied Oct 17, 2011I'm not saying disregard fundamentals for those who use it. If you do use fundamentals, you should know your sources and stick with those and not be distracted by all the myriad analysts and analysis out there. My system, for example, does not use ...

spzd replied Oct 17, 2011Price has failed to break the H2 support so far is allowing the M30 to start into consolidation. This may take it into a slider at best, reversal at worst. Price could easily move back to the 3830/40 area. But I'm thinking 3800 should hold (no ...

spzd replied Oct 17, 2011This is good stuff and good advice. Since I don't hold trades for more than a few hours I take them when my system says, whether short or long. At 3 to 5 standard lots per trade, all you need is 40 or 50 pips a day. Everything else is gravy.
