spzd replied Nov 18, 2011Your welcome. Another area to look at for potential entrys is when the fast trix bounces off the slow. In this case it would have given about 20 quick pips. I use a cleaned up version of THV to get a more precise entrys once I get a signal on my ...

spzd replied Nov 18, 2011THV is a fairly sound system. One thing you might want to consider on the 5 min with the fast trix at the position it was is wait for it to cross the zero line. Yes you might sacrifice some pips if it's going up, but it gives better confirmation IMO. ...

spzd replied Nov 17, 2011I'm not a fundamenatals trader either. I do like to read what they say though. 98% technical and it works very well for me. edit: The problem is there is a lot of stiff resistance in this area and it may or may not break through.

spzd replied Nov 17, 2011It's still not full blown yet, but you did warn them. I've been waiting since 0700 ET yesterday for this thing to go up about a 100 or so. Just too much negative stuff out of EZ. If it wasn't for that this would have been through the roof by now.

spzd replied Nov 5, 2011A margin hike is to keep under-funded accounts from participating in an instrument, not to make the trader think of proper MM. Margin hikes come when the volatility increases, which leads to under-funded accounts recieving a margin call. What the ...

spzd replied Nov 1, 2011Not so sure your going to get that 100 pip move right away. With the less than stellar ISM and the need to consolidate/retrace to ease the oversold condition.

spzd replied Oct 29, 2011This was a very good post. Most traders don't realize the banks (CBs and thier minions) are the one's that actually control where price will eventually go. And as you stated, it will benefit traders to understand the fundamentals, but the bottom ...

spzd replied Oct 26, 2011Pivot points, if set up properly, work as good S/R. I set mine up based on the 1700 ET New York close, which is the time of the swap. For the EUR/USD the Mx pivots and PP work best.

spzd replied Oct 25, 2011Yes, more often than not, when it hits that second outer band that is a good indication to go the other way. It's not an automatic entry, works best if the bands are more flatlined.

spzd replied Oct 25, 2011I also use the BBs. Mine are set up a bit different. I have 2 - one with a 2 sd and one with a 3 sd. Instead of the 20 I use 12. In ranging markets hits off the bands are a good entry for the opposite band. Makes it possible to take quite a few pips ...

spzd replied Oct 23, 2011You are correct. The theory that the gap will close quickly is just that, theory. Although most times it will close within the week at some point, one can not , nor should they, put in an order thinking it will close rapidly.
