The Elites need to be seen to be doing something, anything. Note that Yellen accepts payment from hedge funds to give speeches. Now poor babies are crying. url

Thanks for pointing that out. I find it disagreeable when someone advocates a position that is fundamentally correct, but gets some things so very wrong or just irrelevant. He should have just stopped after the first paragraph and his credibility ...
Who Gets Harmed When You Ban Short Selling?

Oh, OK, thanks. Do they realise that they aren't playing in the sandpit anymore? Elsewhere I read that pension funds invest in hedge funds. Should the schoolchildren go bust - this is a given - there will be consequences that their three neurons do ...

Are they hedging? I'm not confident that going naked short in silver would be a prudent investment strategy at this time. I know nothing about investing, although I am learning about the cowboys who manage hedge funds. I often get spam emails from ...

A short squeeze? How does that happen in bonds? Its a freaking gigantic market. I know that 7 trillion of US bonds are maturing this year. Should they not roll, that would be interesting. Some dude at the Fed may get repetitive strain injury in ...

Hello Guest. If the price went to $10 there would be a significant chance that it could go to $1. And then to zero. But as I said, it would have to happen quickly, of course, like within a timeframe of a few days at best, at worst sometime prior to ...

Despite what she says, none of that is new by any means. In fact she is relying on the audience to not know their history of economic thought dating back to the late 1700s. Maybe you'd be kind enough to fill in the blanks? But what would I know - a ...

Yeah, SNB, everyone knows you deliberately play silly buggers with your currency. As if bureaucrats know better than the market.

I'm totally confused what a squeeze is in FX. Its really only applicable when there is a stock of the asset "small" enough, like say GME. Which is quite big (edit, checked, somewhere between 1 and 20 billion), but a teaspoon/tiny compared to any ...

I dunno. Define what you mean by "selling order flow" and I might have an opinion, but otherwise not.
Who Gets Harmed When You Ban Short Selling?

Hello, Guest - Some of the most insidious examples of manipulation/collusion have been quite transparent/open and public, nobody was coerced unduly. I speak not of fraudulent behaviour. However it may still be unlawful. That is a topic for another ...

Must add short squeeze to my favourite phrase of 2021 so far. 2020 had its fair share of things (mostly forgettable) to say instead of "um, err". Just slip "short sqeeze" into a sentence whenever possible.

Systemic risk if brokers go bust. That's gunna happen? Maybe, if they are somehow fraudulent. RobinHood borrowed dosh to legitimately cover its capital requirements in the normal course of business. Let Hedge Funds go bust. Who cares. Oh, Yellen has ...

I don't know Jerome Powell's essay, and I probably don't need to to know that anything the Reserve Bank of Australia comes out with these days is totally pathetic and lacking in any intelligence or integrity, being managed by Elites. This is not how ...
