Just what are you planning to do? You can analyze data in the script languages provided with the platforms. The easiest way to get free tick by tick fx data is to hook up Ninja Trader to Gain and dump it out as it comes in, or shortly afterward ...

The metatrader sources mentioned above are all about the same. The way you get data from them is to open a chart, capture the data tick by tick as it comes in with an indicator (write it to disk or or use pipes). You would have a difficult time ...

Hi Todd, The "Open" is basically 5:00 pm EST, everybody is tired and thru for the day. What happens next is a little rest, then Aussie and Tokyo open, and on some pairs there is action, but I doubt there is much on the G/U until London opens. And ...

1st pic: At Open (Friday 03/06): No obvious trend. Why bet 50/50? 2nd pic: At Close after NFP around 14:30. A EMA(45) with parallels every 50 up and down gives a better than 50/50. Good trade around 15:30. ps: I obviously do not know how to get good ...

Maybe depends if they really send tick by tick data - IB does not. They send a representative sample every x / 10ths seconds. I've had tick charts and 1-minute from them be way out of whack (or really "whacked"). Ken.
