Oh, the easiest way is to buy far out-of-the-money options right before expiration date, and then to wait until they expire worthless. For example you could buy lots of GS 250.00 call (exp feb 2010) today and wait until mid-february.

That's VERY easy to do. Use max leverage. Buy a pair with a large spread. Sell immediately. Repeat.

It depends. Late 2008 was very trending, today's markets are really ranging. I'm a 1m trader and I can only find 2-3 "real" trends per month. That's 10% of the time. And given that the markets are fractal.........
