Trotty replied Mar 12, 2012A chart! — Ok, so this is exactly the sort of entry that EO would take if he saw it. It has little to do with the MAs but many of the setups talked about in these pages were just that. The overall background of the market is fairly bearish ...

Trotty replied Mar 6, 2012Yeah, if you can't see multiple timeframes, you may as well just not bother. Good luck

Hey, at least you are doing something you enjoy. I have spent over a decade selling IT solutions to businesses and I hated it 8/9 years ago and I hate it now. Trading will be my ticket out of all that in the not too distant future.Trade what you see NOT what you expect

Trotty replied Mar 6, 2012Seems like you are well and truly on the track to enlightenment my friend
A lot of what you are saying here rings absolutely true with my earlier days of trading too and still, to an extent, now. I have also spent time fine tuning entries on M1 ...Trade what you see NOT what you expect

Trotty replied Mar 6, 2012Exits are a big issue when you move away from trading silly systems with defined stops and take profits. Once you begin trading price action setups, you then are at the mercy of your own judgement if you don't have a strict trade management ...

Trotty replied Mar 6, 2012A familiar tale and one which mirrors exactly what I did. I think some of the problem with this thread is that EO never really intended for it to be a system for new starters. He's a very advanced trader with the ability to understand when to take ...

Trotty replied Mar 1, 2012Just found this thread. I think it could matter quite a lot if your stat about bots is anywhere near truth. For bots to work, they need to identify key areas in order that they execute trades. Whether those be fibs, S+R, supply & demand (same thing ...

Trotty replied Feb 22, 2012Not too sure about that. Rejected first attempt, little action after that. I sense a reload and a short push through coming. But it's Forex, anything can and will happen.

Trotty replied Feb 22, 2012Just my take — I always look at the recent candle patterns to help guide my overall bias. Here (circled) I see a hammer from which, into the uptrend, should entice demand. Buyers do pile in on the next H4 candle which closes bullish but then ...

Trotty replied Feb 16, 2012...and it suddenly all makes sense now! Many thanks for taking the time to answer. I have used bits and bats of VSA in my trading for a year or more now (upthrusts, shakeouts, ND/NS etc) but always with candles. I can't make full sense of a chart ...

Trotty replied Feb 16, 2012Question for you people if you don't mind. Is there a particular reason why so many of you choose to trade with a bar chart when using VSA as opposed to candles?

Trotty replied Feb 8, 2012What exactly is it that you hope to gain from trying to debunk the merits of trading using VSA on a thread populated by people trading using VSA? Why not start your own thread where you can offer a great service to the trading community involving ...

Trotty replied Feb 7, 2012Of course not. Could the retail market exist if there were mainly winners though....?

Trotty replied Feb 2, 2012I'd echo that, having read the whole thread and absorbed the wealth of knowledge that these guys gave us on these pages. That's also the problem that i've had in posting charts up. I want to play my part in keeping this thing going but as much as I ...
