depends on what securities etc, if make loss on shares for example i think you can deduct loss from tax bill, but if in spread bet account not as is classed as betting

oh yeah forgot to say, it's very good idea to lock in profits as soon as you can with still bit of breathing room ie bout 30 pips for me. cos you can't lose then, and if made good entry will fly into profit. i recommend it to all traders.
