kprsa replied May 13, 2017Here is one (there are many others imho, you yourself have shared one earlier in the thread): The necessary condition for the price to move is the imbalance between buyers and sellers. This can be read off directly from the candlestick chart. k ...

kprsa replied May 1, 2017I am unsure if I am "in the know" but since you ask, I'd guess they have considered that the important information they needed was already captured by the vanilla variety of candlestick. And I tend to agree. k

kprsa replied May 1, 2017The Japanese were using candlestick plots of rice prices back in the 17th century. But it is the same as an ohlc bar, just that long candles with short wicks "look" more solid. k

kprsa replied May 1, 2017Doable imho, similar to trying to make money off coin flips (or roulette). The trick is in the money management, and the fact that "on average" the price drifts away from any given line. But could get a person kicked out of a casino...

kprsa replied Apr 29, 2017I have a feeling that one should try to identify WW setups at a higher tf (say daily), and then its smaller "fractal" duplicate at the lower tf (say hourly) for entry in the sweet zone. (There was a guy on the forum called skunny with similar ...

kprsa replied Apr 28, 2017Anyway, since today my holidays started, I had some time to code. If somebody wants, here is something to play with. The (crude, but according to specs in above posts) code works only on EURJPY. Cheers, k file file

kprsa replied Apr 28, 2017You seem to have been exactly correct. I hacked together a quick EUR/JPY indicator to check the feasibility. The simplest strategy on the D1 next candle results in small profit (ignoring the spreads). But certainly the probabilities are far from ...

kprsa replied Apr 28, 2017Your trade results are clearly correlated. The system would be more profitable if you'd increase the position size after a win and decrease it after a loss. Cheers, k

kprsa replied Apr 28, 2017Agreed, he is clever and an out-of-the-box thinker. Just wanted to say how I would approach this (if I didn't have enough of crazy theories of my own): I would use a trio of pairs which are bound by a triangular relationship, say E/J=E/U*U/J. From ...

kprsa replied Apr 28, 2017Since the thread has already gone to hell (with only a few reasonable and useful commentators, e.g. Calculus), I will just add that this has reminded me of the twoblink's "gravy train" principle, where he, apparently inspired by 19th century ...

kprsa replied Apr 28, 2017Place a bet, say along the previous candle color. Following the principle, one should flip position (change the door) when the price is stalled (small candle body, i.e.the goat is shown). However this assumes a lot of things about the probabilities ...

kprsa replied Apr 25, 2017I tend to agree with you on this. Markets, while they have a useful consumer/exchange function are primarily (as in bulk of activity/traffic/volume) big boys' money making machine. Cheers, k

kprsa replied Apr 25, 2017I think they are buying, the bulk of volume is at the day minima. I haven't seen a very good distribution going on before, so I do think they go to 54.xx to distribute. However these guys have deep pockets and can let the price go down another 2-3 ...
