Yes looks very suspicious. It appears they want to be able to manipulate the market with the release of this news, either to mute the effect or accentuate it. Don't know which way. Makes me awful curious.

Trouble is they list the news time as TENTATIVE, so it might come out any time to take us by surprise. Or it might just hold all of us in suspense and not come out for a long time yet.

What usually happens is that the government comes out with the plausible reasons for cutting certain benefits, but in the end, the money doesn't go where it's supposed to go. It's instead used to build some private mansions for the big wigs for pay ...

I think you are dreaming. Not that I don't agree that eurusd and gbpusd are in a down trend. But it's not a straight down by any means, and it's not going to 1.44 yet.

The high oil prices sure is not a good thing for the vast majority of the people in the world. Only a handful of hedge funds are making big fat profit from the bull run. It might be cracking soon as it's been moving downward towards 120 mark. If it ...

I would be careful with short, since it's mainly an uptrend right now. You are probably fine with the short for a quick run. But just watch out.

That is a huge increase. Will people cut down driving now? Will the government subsidize some other way?

So is Malaysian government going to stop selling petrol to foreign registered cars? If they do that, it might hamper businesses on the border.

That's about right. I would say that if Obama wins, you can expect US stock market rally and $ rally, as the democrats represent a major change in the direction of the country and people will be more hopeful. Dems have a track record of doing better ...

Clinton already out. She will likely become VP on Obama's ticket, in which case the team will be quite formidable, hard for McCain to beat, whomever he chooses to be his running mate.

Don't expect Trichet to say anything different from what he's always said. "The mandate for ECB is price stability." blah blah blah. It might cause euro to run up a bit. But not much.

I believe one must take into consideration both news and technicals. Nobody who was traind on charts could have expected the 200 pip drop in euro yesterday. In fact, right before that, most were long eurusd. And that's how they were killed.
