Sounds good - as long as the pair is moving. I don't care if it's headed to 90 or 120 as long as the daily activity kicks up!

[quote=bristolxyz;2078242] Totally agree with ya buddy - but my point was, don't worry about the stock indexes, just the charts. If the stock indexes had any kind of effect, this -300 Nikkei would have not allowed for any retracement.

Treadline, See what I mean? The Nikkei is 'down' over 300 points and the USD/JPY is 'up' on the retracement. Don't put a whole lot of value in the stock indexes - watch the price action.

Yeah, gotta be nimble on those scalps! Don't worry about it, there are countless other opportunities, there is no rush even though we all think we gotta have a million dollars tomorrow

I think it had more to do with the Yen getting stronger than the Dollar getting weaker. If you check the pairs against the Yen, they got killed today. Yen was up over 1%, Dollar was only down around .5%

It probably will be - but honestly, I don't even take it in consideration. I wasn't even hardly watching the DOW today either, only price action & pivots on the currency pairs. That's what matters because that shows you where the money is flowing. ...

Hey Steelhead - how'd those shorts come out at 108.50 you kept talking about earlier in the week? Bet you're sitting on a pile of PIPs now

Guys - it's in a strong downtrend. You gotta wait for confirmation if you want to go long. Stop swimming upstream and throwing your money away.

Thanks for that! Unfortunately, it comes from direct personal experience - been there, done that - lesson learned.

Little aggressive for me - but hope it works for you. If I was going to go long right now, I'd like to see the price shoot up to the mid 30s and come back and re-test support and hold, then buy when it starts to go up again. (confirmation)

Excellent!! Consistent wins, move those stops, don't be biased. Each winning day adds up at the end of the month. After you blow a few accounts from trying to capture every PIP in the market, you tend to 'mature'

Controlling greed is #1. 100+ PIPs in 5 hours is good enough for me. If it falls great for the existing shorts, just be sure you are locking in profits with moving those stops, don't try to squeeze every last PIP out of the market, it ...USD/JPY Discussion

Closed the rest of my orders as 107.22 It's at the S2 and I don't see it going much more down from here. I think it'll consolidate for a little then start retracing up again
