fsiltd replied Feb 12, 2008You gotta give something to the simple logic that it follows though. (well, in my simple mind anyway) The moon (and other celestial bodies) influence bodies of water, like the ocean. Humans are made up of what, +-70% water. The market is made up of ...

fsiltd replied Feb 12, 2008No worries. I'm just glad to see someone else is serious about regulation in this industry. A very many aren't. And it is a double-edged sword. It doesn't only protect your clients and their funds, but also the trader/fund manager/whatever.

fsiltd replied Feb 12, 2008It is YOU or the "entity" you trade as that requires regulation, not the accounts. If you are us based, you can do and serious about it, do something like the series 3 certification series 65 is for regulated independant advisors series 7 if you ...

fsiltd replied Feb 12, 2008Ok... I wasn't going to mention any particular firm, but. (I'm gonna regret this I know) Interactive brokers have a "Friends and Family Advisor" account, that allows you to trade I think up to 15 accounts without having to be regulated. I say again, ...

fsiltd replied Feb 12, 2008No. Power of Attorney, or Limited Power of Attrorney rather, only gives you the right to execute trades (ie open, adjust and close positions) with their funds (often it is only on their request, check the legalities carefully). If their "permission" ...
