Example #1 — Hi everyone, I was hoping to get some examples posted of my entry analysis much sooner than now, but life happened and I just didn't have the time. At any rate, better late than never. Here is my first example of a trade that may ...

I couldn't say, Vee. I only have one account with MBT, so I can't speak from experience on that subject. Kevin

Hello Meph, Although I've not done this myself, I'm almost certain that your broker would not even blink at your request for a sub-account or two separate, but linked accounts. In fact, I would bet money that if you called them up and stated ...

Edd, Yes, true hedging could possibly work well with this strategy as a way to help ride out the moves against you as you wait for the lont-term trend to resume in the event that you get caught in a short-term pullback. Unfortunately, due to the ...

Correct, Edd. I do not use the 200 EMA, but I do have the 200 SMA on all of my charts and I do pay attention to where price is relative to it on D/W/M timeframes when I'm looking to enter; however, I won't use it as an entry signal by itself -- ...

Thanks for your question WFX. When it comes to entries, I'm typically looking at the last several candles of the monthly and weekly to determine a reliable long-term trend direction. With the daily, I'm looking at the most recent 1-3 closed candles ...

Thanks for your question, Edd. You are correct that an earlier bailout would potentially preserve profit. My reasoning for waiting for the weekly to go south is that due to the fact that my entries are coming from the daily and may be a little ...

True, but once their unemployment benefits run out, they fall off the government's radar. They're still looking for work, but they're no longer visible to the BLS and are no longer counted in the official unemployment number, hence the "real" ...

If you don't want to be bound by FIFO on your positions, just change brokers. Some US brokers have a looser interpretation of the FIFO rule than others. MB Trading and IBFX are two that I'm aware of that don't enforce FIFO on their MT4 platform ...

Nice!!! Funny you should post this now. Just this morning I was looking at the weekly charts of pairs that have been in a multi-week trend (e.g., AUDCAD, AUDNZD, AUDUSD, EURCAD, EURUSD, ...) and thinking that if I had entered with the trend at the ...

I get what you're saying, Paul, but isn't the ratio of risk to margin requirement irrelevent? I mean, who cares about risk:margin? I know I don't. I'm concerned only about risk:account balance, and both of your examples have the same risk, i.e., ...

Strange. With my MBT accounts, floating profit/loss increases/decreases available margin and should allow addional positions as long as there is enough available margin to cover them... but I could be wrong. Kevin

I disagree. Leverage is a set ratio for your account, so all positions are always using that leverage, whatever it may be (400:1, 100:1, 10:1, etc.). Using reduced leverage means a reduction in the potential number of open trades. For a strategy ...

You may want to check into an MB Trading MT4 demo if you do not want to deal with FIFO as it seems they've found a way around it. I don't think all brokers are interpreting the rules the same and, hence, have addressed it differently. From what I ...
