You need to find it yourself. It's not so easy

So true. But people want to see quantitative proofs if you're just going to discuss about ideas and/or observations.

You know that I more like ratios of 1:4, do you? That's te average upper wick time. And of ...Higher Edge within a Single Candlestick

Thanks a lot for the contribution. But if you'd just look at one such candlestick, how would you tackle it? I mean, are there reference points that are less important to you? Or woud you only enter if you see a trend according to the current rolling ...

One of the few posts that actually show a willingness to engage in discussion. Thank you! Here’s my interpretation: If the thick cyan line is meant to be traded and the other two lines (blue and gray) replicate this signal, then in my opinion, this ...

Thank you. Yours inspired me, too! A great pleasure to see you here!

Correct. It of course won't be applicable to trading. But I just want to show you that random data can be beaten, too! Maybe, I really don't know. I would say no. However, it's of course fine if you disagree with me. I just like to encourage you to ...

Don't agree on this point. Randomness also leaves patterns that can be exploited ... See here for an example. Nothing new and nothing special. Wouldn't be so confident on this point. Tbh, I haven't found any patterns that are clearly human-driven. ...

Hi oculus, I can fully understand what you wrote. Because: Crucialpoint’s posts were often sensationalized and contained statements that, upon closer inspection, simply couldn’t be true (like the way he described he'd be made money with roulette). ...

Define a "range", for instance the last 1000 ticks. Then, with every new tick you create a new candlestick summing up the last 1000 ticks. then, we only analyze this current candlestick. (Vist my profile, view the images I've posted and the last few ...

PRICE MOVEMENT IS NOT PREDICTABLE! That's why nobody can make good calls consistently. You can enter almost whenever you like (as can be seen in hindsight). What's important is when to get out. And nobody can ever tell you in advance when to get ...

Boys, what's going on here? Absolutely correct. But as banal as it may sound, it tells us one thing: the price will move. And from this movement, we can glean valuable insights into the state of the market. I strongly encourage you - and everyone ...

No! At the strat and end of most trend you'll see faster price movements. It's the effect of loading off money/getting out of trades. Only if people are willed to see their current positions, a trend can reverse.

Dear Fiox89, I haven't really tested it but it sounds good to me. Personally, I indeed think this is where an edge can be found. And you can see this edge even in another post. In the image of the 2nd row, the one with green dots, you can find that ...

Dear Fiox89, this as been just an attempt to explain why that person wrote that the probability differs from 50 % (for going back to the MA, or away). It's not been any recommendation for trading. I even believe this scenario may be hard to trade ...
Probabilities in a Random Walk (Question about one CP's post)

Yes, I agree. When I read the post of CP the first time in context with his other posts I also perceived it in the way you did: Fast price changes/high momentum causes further price changes in the same direction (somewhat like a landslide). But if ...

It also triggered me when I read this the first time. However, the more often I read it, the more my perspective changed. Here is what Craig wrote: "We are looking at a stationary Gaussian random walk. When it gets away more than 2 standard ...

Not implying anything. I just like to make you (others) awars that price doesn't move in "sine waves". People sticking to the sine wave pov believe that price moves fastest during the mid of trends, and slow towards the start and end of trends. ...

Did you ever consider that price doesn't move in sine waves? It's more like this if you average (and noramlize) over trends of equal lengths: image And when looking at different average trends, you'll even see a "constant": image
